Monstera Swiss Cheese

Other names: Monstera Adansonii

Monstera Swiss Cheese plants develop fenestrations, or "holes" in their leaves, as a defense mechanism against rain and heavy wind in their native Central American habitats.

Water when the top inch of soil is dry.

Note: Check the soil before watering to avoid overwatering. Stick your finger or a wooden stick into the soil to the recommended depth. If it feels completely dry, it’s time to water. If it still feels damp or leaves moisture on your finger or stick, wait and check again later.

πŸ’§ Watering

Prefers bright, indirect sunlight. Too little light will prevent them from forming holes. Too much light will burn their leaves.

β˜€οΈ Lighting

Swiss Cheese Plants are very fast-growing plants and will climb upwards when well cared for. Use a moss pole or stake to support climbing. They thrive in high humidity and in termperatures between 65-80 degrees. A bright bathroom is perfect to simulate these conditions. Brown tips are often a sign that your Monstera Swiss Cheese needs more humidity.
