Snake Plant
Other names: Sansevieria
These tall-growing, beginner-friendly succulents are the perfect option for beginners as they are incredibly hardy, adaptable, and make terrific air purifiers due to the oxygen they release at night.
Snake plants require infrequent waterings typically once every 2-3 weeks, or every month in the winter. They need completely dry soil before watering again.
Note: Check the soil before watering to avoid overwatering. Stick your finger or a wooden stick into the soil to the recommended depth. If it feels completely dry, it’s time to water. If it still feels damp or leaves moisture on your finger or stick, wait and check again later.
💧 Watering
These powerhouse plants can adapt to almost any light condition: low, medium, and bright light are all effective. However, they cannot survive in rooms with no light source.
Avoid direct sunlight as this can burn their delicate leaves.
☀️ Lighting
Snake Plants can survive outdoors but should be taken inside during a freeze as they are not frost tolerant.
